Dr. Jessica M. Barron is a demographer, researcher, and author. Jessica has spent nearly two decades supporting organizations and private venture funds pursuing equity-centered strategies in organizational culture & development, investment and grantmaking, measurement and learning, and community-driven impact. Her research is published and awarded across the academic and philanthropic sectors. Nominated for book of the year, Jessica’s ethnography (2017), The Urban Church Imagined (NYU Press) addresses contemporary diversity and inclusion efforts among one of the nation’s most preeminent organizational structures—religious congregations. Jessica earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from Texas A&M University. Currently, she serves as the Senior Director of Strategic Impact at the Maven Collaborative.
